Hybrid System Architecture: Optimal Compatibility between Software and Hardware
Self-developed hardware for immediate use: While you previously had to independently provide the IT infrastructure for a production system, in the future you will be able to obtain all the hardware preconfigured from a single source. With FASTedge, you benefit from the flexibility of renting the hardware and receiving a replacement device within 48 hours. Our configurator helps you calculate the investment for the system implementation.
FASTedge Box: Connection between Cloud and Shop Floor
The FASTedge Box establishes the connection between the shop floor and the cloud in the hybrid system architecture. The internet connection is made via the customer’s own network or via cellular. Not only is system control handled, but fail-safety is also guaranteed (Always On).
The FASTedge Box with stainless steel housing enables you to connect and thereby acquire machine data. The hardware integrates into the existing IT infrastructure and can replace a traditional server, helping to conserve IT resources.

FASTedge SFT15: : Connection between Human and Machine
The FASTedge SFT15 (Shopfloor Terminal) is ideal for use in your production. It features a rugged aluminum housing and a 15” capacitive touch display. The terminal was developed by FASTEC with many years of experience and is therefore tailored to the needs of production
With the FASTedge SFT15, production employees can make machine inputs. This makes it the operator’s interface to the system. The terminal includes an RFID reader and digital inputs for the automatic detection of machine signals as standard.

FASTedge SFH10: for Mobile Use in Production
The MES Is Always Within Reach: The FASTedge SFH10 (Shopfloor Handheld) is ideal for mobile use in production. The tablet is suitable for the following areas:
Maintenance: Employees in maintenance especially benefit from the FASTedge SFH10. When performing maintenance tasks in the production area, they always have access to relevant information such as instructions and documents.
Quality Assurance: Similar to maintenance, quality assurance personnel leave the lab to carry out inspections on the shop floor. These can be reported directly back to the system via the tablet.
Multiple Machine Operation: With the FASTedge SFH10, there is no need for each machine to have its own terminal. Employees can carry the tablet with them and select the respective machine for MDA / PDA.
Traceability: Employees in the warehouse and production record material to manage inventory, serial numbers, and batches. The FASTedge SFH10 can replace a conventional scanner thanks to its integrated camera.

FASTedge provides the edge components for the MES entry-level solution smartOEE. smartOEE is a 3-month project in which we jointly uncover the potential of your machine, initiate optimizations, and sustainably increase productivity. For this, we supply you with a plug & play system consisting of high-performance software and reliable hardware. We support you during commissioning and provide training to ensure optimal use.
Your production data is digitally acquired and can be evaluated directly in the cloud. By automatically calculating the Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), you derive optimization measures and increase the productivity of your production.
